Month in a Recap #2: February

Hello and welcome Y'All,
It's time to recapitulate my last month- February- we call it the month of love! And just like the month before February, this month too, I enjoyed a lot and had a great time.

  • Received another bundle of books for review

"I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book"
----J.K.Rowling

Another month gone by, and 2015 is officially 2 months old now! This month I received a lot of books from best-selling authors to self-published ones. Here's a snap of few of the books that I received for the review purpose.

  • My over-confidence got better of me

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."
----Helen Keller

I'm talking about my Good reads reading challenge for this year and I took a challenge to read 365 books this year, and to be honest, the challenge is not going well at all. And now I can't put the blame on work pressure or blogging pressure or having a fun. What I realized is that, I'm not a snobbish person, who likes to hide behind the books, I have a life and I'm enjoying it to the fullest, so in that process, I might not be able to complete this reading challenge but that's okay, I'm always on the margin.

  • New Blog feature: BookShelfie

"Keep Calm but Let me first take a Selfie"

I'm doing a new blog feature called bookshelfie which is nothing but a selfie with your bookshelf. And I host it on every Sunday, like today is Sunday, and I have featured another amazing blogger, Olivia from Olivia's Catastrophe. And if you want to be featured on this special blog post, then do leave a comment below this blog post.

  • Valentine's Day with blog posts and Mr. Grey

"Let's celebrate not having to celebrate Valentine's Day "
Since, I'm single and on the very hope that I would have a chance to mingle some time in the near future, I spent my V'Day indoors, doing my thing- reading, blogging, watching movies, etc, boring single stuffs. But I tried to make it nice for those with a Valentine by writing a blog post about St.Valentine's story and the V'Day gifting ideas for your bookish valentine, and if you missed it, do check it here once again for your next year V'Day gifting idea. PS: I'm not against the idea of a Valentine's Day!
Oh yeah, I can totally say this that I had a hot date with Mr. Grey, since I re-read the Fifty Shades trilogy, so my V'Day wasn't that bad, I got Grey, who can say that?!

  • Invitation to a Wedding

"At every stage of my career I have had interesting and cordial colleagues, some of whom are close friends."
----Daniel Nathans

For me this month began with a wedding invitation of my colleague's sister. So we all got dressed up for the event and after our long day in office, we all went to this invitation and we all had crazzy fun from photo sessions to cracking jokes to getting lost to waiting for the dinner to be served. Here's a snap from the event:

  • A Day Out with your besties never completes the month

"Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life."
----Mark Twain

My other best friend, who lives and works in another city called Bangalore, was here for a weekend. And me and my another best friend, Aparna, we planned a day out in the city, from having lunch at a posh cafe, Jhaal Farezi to drinking vodka at Olly Pub to going for a shopping spree at Esplanade- a street shopping destination to saying our good byes on the hope that we shall always reunite no matter what. Here's a snap from the day.

  • Yes, I'm a shopaholic, and I shall never get over with it.

"Happiness is not in money, but in shopping."
----Marilyn Monroe

When I get that message of your account credited, I feel determined not to touch that money, but then in the end of month, my mind and heart, together they say that you'll again get that message of account credited, so I have this urge to spend or buy something, honestly, I feel helpless.

Anyways, that was my whole month in a nutshell, apart from that, I must say, my month had equal shots of both happiness and laughter with a dash of sadness!
See you folks in my next blog post!
Happy Reading!

  1. I am glad to see you enjoyed the wedding! I like the sound of the books for review and of course, I love the idea of the bookshelfie. As well as all that, it is okay to fall behind on the challenge! Reading fifty books in two months alone is already pretty great... I have only read 22!
