Good morning fellas,
Another Friday comes by and it's time to have a new feature and follow blog post, which is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee's View.
What is Feature and Follow Friday?
In simple words- to gain more followers either via GFC or Bloglovin'. So the very idea of having this feature and follow meme is to collect more new bloggers on the block and to make new blogger friends as well as followers. It is a great idea which was started out by Alison and Rachel. Three Cheers for those two masterminds!
So How does it Works?
- Follow the hosts of FF {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
- Follow the Featured Bloggers on their blogs
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
- If someone comments and says they are following you, please return the courtesy by following them back. Spread the Love...and the followers
This Week's Question:
Have you ever read a book you thought you'd hate but loved? Or vice versa? - Suggested by A Great Read
Well, I think as a bibliophile, we must not judge any book by it's cover, reviews or anything before reading it. That's the first rule of a bibliophile. So I never hate a book before reading it. But yeah, vice-versa happens a lot to me.
Recently, I read The Winter People by Rebekah L. Purdy, which I predicted would be a good book by the synopsis, unfortunately, I couldn't even finish reading the book since it was so dull!
What's the recent book that you hate reading it? Do share with me in the comments!

Ranu @ The Bookish Life
Completely agree! I'm the world's worst at judging a book by its cover/synopsis and sadly I've been disappointed more than once.

ReplyDeleteIt's always so disappointing when you read a book and don't end up liking it! There are too many books to read and not enough time!

Thanks Betsy
ReplyDelete"Hate" is a strong word, but there are books that I would not pick up because of the genre or description. Not because I hate them, but because I know I probably wouldn't enjoy them. I've been surprised a few times, but mostly I've read enough that I know what I don't like. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annette :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am an avid cover judge, but I know that doesn't make a good book nor does someone hating a book make it bad. I normally go with the synopsis but usually it's the cover that makes me stop and check out what it's about. :)
ReplyDeleteAww sorry to hear this book didn't work out for you :( I've seen it around but haven't heard of much about it :)
ReplyDeleteEileen @ BookCatPin
That is a really pretty cover, sorry to hear that you didn't like the book. I hadn't heard of The Winter People yet. Thank You for stopping by earlier. Old Follower.
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF
ReplyDeleteI have that one, and I actually started reading it and couldn't get into it. I shelved thinking I'd go back to it later, which I still might. But I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. I do love the cover though.
